This all-new premium freestyle snowboard is built for the more advanced to expert snowboarder, transitions, on hips, and on medium to large terrain park features.
K2's trusty tri-blend BAP core as the foundation for the Hypnotist. They have added Carbon DarkWeb™ to speed up transitions from edge to edge, and new tip-to-tail Carbon Backbone™ to increase snap.
To help you spin that extra 180 degrees, reduce swing weight, and decrease chatter in the tip and tail, K2 has replaced the tip and tail of the core with our SpaceGlass™ construction, lighter and harder than wood, SpaceGlass™ puts the Hypnotist in a league all of it’s own. We finish it all off with a wax-infused 4001 Sintered Base from Crown - the hardest, fastest, base material that they offer.

Built using the hardest and fastest Sintered base material on the market from Crown, the Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 holds wax longer than other Sintered bases for a smoother glide, longer.
BAP CORE:
Bamboo. Aspen. Paulownia. We’ve blended three species of renewable timber to assemble a core that’s strong, lightweight, and designed to enhance dampening without the addition of other materials.
TRIAXIAL GLASS:
A glass laminate with diagonal layers that adds torsional stiffness for increased stability and improved edge hold. The fibers three layers are woven at 45°, 45°, and 0°. This makes for a more responsive ride longitudinally and torsionally.
SPACEGLASS™:
An American made Aerospace grade precure fiberglass core insert used to provide unmatched structural performance at reduced weight. SpaceGlassTM inserts increase edge hold along contact points, reduce chatter, and provide unequaled durability.
CARBON DARBWEB™:
Carbon stringers extend at 45º angles from the inserts in an “X” pattern, adding responsiveness and stability at all speeds.
