Faulty Goods Policy 

Ski Hire NZ and Snowboard Workshop are proud to align themselves with premium brands and products, but understand unintentional manufacturing faults may occur from time to time. 

You are entitled to a full refund or store credit for items you purchase from Ski Hire NZ and/or Snowboard Workshop if: 

The product is faulty or unsafe and the fault or defect was not pointed out to you before you purchased it or would not have been apparent to you when you inspected the goods before purchase; andYou return the item within 14 days; 

You have a proof of purchase, such as your receipt. 

You can not return the item if it has been worn or used and tags and labels have been removed and original packaging has been disposed of.

Warranty Policy 

Ski Hire NZ is aware your goods will experience some wear and tear – that’s what you buy them for! 

All products sold by Ski Hire NZ are covered by the manufacturer's warranty (further information can be found on the relevant manufacturers site for their specific policies). Ski Hire NZ will liaise

with the manufacturer or supplier on behalf of the customer wherever possible. The manufacturer will make all final warranty decisions. 

Any warranties or repairs on goods which have been purchased at Ski Hire NZ or Snowboard Workshop store may take up to 30 days to process, as Ski Hire NZ must refer to the manufacturer to determine the course of action to be followed and will act as a liaison between the customer and manufacturer. It is the manufacturers right to determine whether the item is to be repaired, replaced, or refunded. 

As an alternative to a refund, Ski Hire NZ is also happy to provide you with a store credit for use on your choice of product or service or exchange of item to the equivalent value to the original item should the outcome be deemed a warranty and an exact replacement cannot be offered. 

For warranty items purchased through Ski Hire NZ and Snowboard Workshop taken outside of New Zealand, Ski Hire NZ will assist the customer in gaining contact with the manufacturer or supplier in the relevant country. In situations where the warranty must be handled in New Zealand, return shipping on warranty claims is the responsibility of the buyer. The manufacturer or Ski Hire NZ/Snowboard Workshop will cover return shipping charges on all items replaced or repaired under warranty. 

*Used and demo products are sold "as is" and do not carry a warranty by Ski Hire NZ or Snowboard Workshop. 

Hints on a few things that are NOT covered by warranty: 

Damage to the inside of goggle lenses/fogging from wiping and improper storage Normal wear and tear from general use (chipped top sheets, scratched lenses, etc)

● Fabric damage due to ski/snowboard edges/bindings 

Parts, hardware or accessories lost after purchase 

We understand your holiday is important and will do all we can to ensure any inconvenience is minimal. 

Change of Mind Policy 

If for any reason you decide a product isn’t for you, we do offer a refund or exchange of value equivalent to the purchase price for most items provided that: 

You return the item within 14 days from the date of purchase; and

The item is unworn, unused and in its original condition; and 

All original labels and tags are attached to the item or it is in its original packaging; and

● You provide a Ski Hire NZ / Snowboard Workshop register receipt as proof of purchase 

*Final sale items are NOT included in this ‘Change of Mind Policy’.

Try Before you Buy Policy

The 'Try Before you Buy' incentive is for up to three days. If you purchase a snowboard, the rental cost for the days you hired the equipment (up to a three-day total) will be deducted from your retail purchase.


 ●The Hirer understands, warrants, agrees and accepts the Rental Service Terms
and Conditions and Retail Terms and Conditions apply to the Try Before you
Buy incentive.

●The Hirer understands and accepts that the Try Before you Buy incentive applies
only to retail snowboards and bindings and cannot be used to purchase apparel
and accessories.

● The ‘Try Before you Buy’ offer is exclusive to full-priced items and cannot be
applied to sale items.
